The PDF below is a view of all the course work i have completed with toast, the website design and the logo changes/reviews i have recieved.
I have been working on the logo after this review sheet: logo review. It has made me come up with some new and better ideas for the logo and below is some prototypes of the new logo until i came across the final one which is displayed below as a bigger picture.
So for an assignment on screen design we, one aspect was to design a logo for the theoretical website that we would produce. The original Logo looked like this:
while the newer logo variations that have been made look like this:
The differences made was changing the location of the text. As the issue was where to put the text as, when the logo is shrunk the text would be unreadable (which to be perfectly honest wasn’t an issue to begin with as the text wasn’t meant to be pinnacle to the design but just something to add “character”). The new logo shows two different variations. it is intended for its use in different settings with the text sitting inside the logo (above the head and on the blue) and when it is a smaller size the text will appear above the logo. the change in the text colour is also made so it can fit any site colour/where colour clashes so the logo will be used effectively as possible.
Part of an excercise we were instructed to make a website wire frame for making toast, which is something we have been working on for what I feel is a little to long but the entire point of the excerise was so that we as a group can learn the process of designing a website and what is needed. Below is a picture of my toast website’s various pages and the process of making toast is clearly labelled in a left to right motion.
The first week of university for me has been I would say a little interesting and quiet as my classes so far seem to be I would have to say fun? or at least interesting in the various topics that they each focus on and the idea of running and managing a blog is something that I would have to argue isn’t something that excites me but at the same time I feel conflicted as it is also something that I’m slowly getting interested in which is odd considering my aversion from social media in general. Oddly though I have more work than I first realised I would have despite it only being the first week back but do expect to see sometime today the first review and thoughts on the first lecture for the class “Introduction to Interactive Design“.
